Firebase - Sergeant Hines

This idea started from a rough sketch by Neill, illustrating an exo suit with a bunch of small nozzles. The purpose of this suit is to prevent the Rivergod from altering reality, in return, giving Hines a chance to defeat him. The hardest part of this task was fitting the design into the appropriate time frame. Overall, the form needed to be fairly simple as oppose to a futuristic exo suit. Some of the earlier metallic versions were really cool, but they started to push towards the Iron Man realm. Our practical effects team, Amazing Ape Productions, did a superb job building this suit.

The topless Russian man was a character that eventually didn't make it to the final film.
