Firebase - Rivergod

This was probably one of my favourite designs during my time at Oats Studios. I had the opportunity to design out the full evolution of the Rivergod, from his skeletal form to armored. It was such an odd idea that went through a lot of iterations, on top of that, it's definitely not what I usually do. At the end, I think it turned out better than I expected, especially after the touch of our Oats VFX team! The final model in the film was sculpted by Ian Spriggs.

All of the concept art and models can be downloaded through Steam http://store.steampowered.com/app/652150/Oats_Studios__Volume_1_Assets/ and you will be able keep informed with all the new shorts coming out through the Oats website http://oatsstudios.com/. Hope you enjoy Oats!

Some iterations that didn't quite hit the mark. I still really like the silhouette of the right one.

Earlier versions of the character. Neill really wanted the "helmet" to fold open to reveal the skeleton inside.
